Piper Anderegg

I am a dedicated two-sport varsity athlete at Wellsboro Area High School, competing in both swimming and tennis. While I am committed to both sports, swimming is my primary focus and the sport I hope to continue at the collegiate level.

I have been swimming competitively since I was seven years old. I spent three years with the Jersey Shore YMCA swim team and four years with the Eastern Lycoming YMCA swim team. I have also competed for the Greater Susquehanna Aquatics League (GSVAL) Wellsboro summer swim team for nine years, where I hold multiple team and pool records in individual events and as a member of relay teams.

I am currently in my third year of PIAA varsity swimming at Wellsboro. As a freshman, I was named the team's Female MVP and earned two District IV medals. During my sophomore season, I was again named Female MVP and earned three District IV medals.

In addition to swimming, I have competed for the Wellsboro varsity tennis team in both singles and doubles matches since my freshman year. As a junior, I currently compete at No. 2 singles.

My goal is to continue my swimming career at the collegiate level while pursuing admission to an accelerated Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. Academically, I have maintained a 3.98 GPA while balancing athletics, extracurricular activities, community service, and part-time employment.

Giving back to my school and community is important to me. I volunteer with Special Olympics and serve as a Big Sister through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeastern Pennsylvania. I am also a member of the Tioga Partnership for Community Health Youth Leadership Program.

At Wellsboro, I am in my third year serving as Treasurer for the Class of 2028 and my second year participating in the school's Connectors program. I was nominated for and accepted into the Student Athlete Leadership Group (SALG), and I was recognized as the Athletics Student of the Month in December 2025 during my sophomore year.

Outside of school and athletics, I am in my third year working with Wellsboro Home Page as a student correspondent.

I take pride in challenging myself in the classroom, in competition, and in my community. I look forward to continuing to grow as a student-athlete and pursuing the opportunity to compete in swimming at the collegiate level while preparing for a career in physical therapy.
